"The Queen of Winter, Kōmi Hirose's 7th Single!" Released in 1995, this song is by none other than Kōmi Hirose, often referred to as the “Queen of Winter” and recently enjoying renewed popularity on YouTube. It served as the theme song for the youth film I Want to Fall in Love So Much the Snow Melts, which portrays friendship and romance among young winter sports enthusiasts. It was also featured in a commercial for the ski equipment brand Alpen. With '90s songs trending again among younger generations, we’ve arranged this hit for saxophone ensemble. "The Baritone Sax Lays Down the Groove!" The bass rhythm carried by the baritone sax and the interplay with the upper three parts can be surprisingly tricky, but when it all clicks, it feels incredibly satisfying. Watch out for the critical moment just before the A melody—it’s a key point! Compared to other pieces, this arrangement is intentionally more complex, so I’d love for the quartet to really lock in and play in sync. Personally, I’m a big fan of the full break just before the chorus. Overall, this song is packed with emotion and energy!
