この作品は、近年ソロ楽器としてもその可能性が注目されているバリトン・サクソフォーン、そのまだ数少ないオリジナル・レパートリーを開拓するべく、ピアノとの二重奏曲として作曲いたしました。
コンチェルトとは違ったピアノとサクソフォーンのアンサンブルの美しさや楽しさを追求しつつ、従来のクラシックの作曲技法にジャズのエッセンスを加え、バリトン・サクソフォーンのソロ楽器としての技術的な特性が十分に引き出せるようにリズムや音楽構成を工夫しています。

■Program Note(explanation：Keifu Muramatsu)

This piece was composed as a duet with piano in an effort to explore the Baritone Saxophone, which has been attracting attention in recent years for its potential as a solo instrument, and its still rare original repertoire.
While pursuing the beauty and joy of an ensemble of piano and saxophone, which is different from a concerto, we have added the essence of jazz to conventional classical compositional techniques, and devised rhythms and musical structures to fully bring out the technical characteristics of the baritone saxophone as a solo instrument.
